Police Ask Public's Help In Search For Suspect In Long Island 7-Eleven Robbery

A sticky-fingered suspect allegedly wandered into a Nassau County 7-Eleven and walked out with an undisclosed amount of cash following a brief struggle with an employee, police said.

Nassau County Police investigators released a surveillance photo of a man who allegedly robbed 7-Eleven on Atlantic Avenue in Baldwin at approximately 10:40 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30.

According to police, the man entered the store, walked around, waiting for the customers to leave. Once the store was emptied out, the suspect approached the register with the intent to purchase a small item.

Police said that as the register opened up, the suspect reached over the counter and grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash. There was a brief struggle between he and the employee before he fled on foot westbound on Atlantic Avenue.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect was described as being approximately 50 years old, 5-foot-10, 150 pounds with a beard. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing dark blue jeans, a baseball hat, blue hooded sweatshirt and a black vest.
